Dr. Franziska Ullrich on Forbes 30 under 30 Europe list
The members of this year’s 30 Under 30 Europe list are picked from almost one thousand online nominations and research by Forbes reporters.
Candidates for the Science and Healthcare list were evaluated by a panel of experts in their fields: Jason Levine, Associate Director of IT and Clinical Informatics at National Cancer Institute (NCI); Iain Woodhouse, Professor at the University of Edinburgh; and Barbara Prainsack, Professor of Global Health & Social Medicine at King's College London. The final list is built from the recommendations of our judges.
Dr. Ullrich, IRIS, Multi-Scale Robotics Lab, has developed a fully automated robotic injection system that will revolutionize treatments of eye diseases. The microrobotics device, remotely operated by a surgeon, uses eye tracking and recognition to deliver drugs directly to the eye, increasing both the efficiency and precision of eye surgery.
