Donghoon Kim received both his Bachelor's (Feb. 2016) and Master's degree (Aug. 2017) in Materials Science and Engineering from POSTECH, South Korea. During bachelor's degree, he did student teaching assistant for 'thermodynamics for materials science' and 'elementary solid state physics' courses and graduated with Magna Cum Laude for academic excellence. Through his Master's degree program, he focused on the physical properties of epitaxial thin film multiferroic oxides in both experimental and theoretical way for their photovoltaic applications, leading two first author and one co-author SCI journal articles.

In April 2018 he joined the Multi-Scale Robotics Lab (MSRL) as a PhD Student.
