Nino Läubli

Nino Läubli was born in Zurich, Switzerland in February 1990. During his Bachelor, he studied Mechanical Engineering at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich) where he finished his bachelor’s thesis on the design and fabrication of Lab-on-Chips for pollen tubes in collaboration with the Department of Plant and Microbial Biology at the University of Zurich, Switzerland, leading to two co-author papers. He continued with a M. Sc. in Mechanical Engineering at ETH Zurich as part of which he gained experience in life science technology and microfabrication at Sonova in Stäfa, Switzerland. After completing his master’s thesis at the Multi-Scale Robotics Lab with the design, fabrication and characterization of a device for three-dimensional acoustofluidic rotational manipulation of single plant cells, he joined the group as a PhD in October 2016.
