Emerging magnetoelectric materials for biomedical application

There are stringent regulations in place for the use of materials in biomedical applications. Currently, most piezoelectric and magnetic materials are not suitable for clinical applications. The influence of these materials on cells, biological tissues and living organisms are still to be determined.

It is our aim to understand more thoroughly the interaction between materials and biological systems. We are developing new materials and exploring new composite structures which can be used in biomedical applications.
